The Scarpa Instinct VS-R is a softer, more versatile version of the renowned Instinct VS, designed for climbers seeking enhanced sensitivity and precision. Built on the same last and rand as the VS, it delivers excellent foot placement accuracy and responsiveness. With a semi-aggressive profile, the VS-R performs well across a range of climbing angles, including overhangs, where it allows you to pull confidently on holds.

The softer midsole and Vibram XS Grip 2 rubber give the VS-R a well-rounded performance, offering more sensitivity than the stiffer Instinct VS, which is more focused on edging. ItsMicrofiber upper ensures a durable, flexible fit that holds its shape better than leather. The combination of an elasticated slipper design and Velcro closure keeps the foot securely in place, providing both comfort and precision in every climb.
